This hostel was wonderful. Staff were very helpful. The common area had games. The hostel sells postcards, stamps and will mail the postcards for you which I loved. My room was quiet and comfortable. Facilities were clean.

...in a good way, as soon as I entered the room and everytime I opened that door I got this wonderful smell and the room inside was CLEAN and I mean CLEAN as it were the rest of the installations. This place is taken care of and maintained, the staff is friendly and helpful. It was a really nice experience that I look forward to repeating soon.

Pros: comfortable central area, great value, close to subway and staff was generally helpful. Cons: room was very small and could hear everything through the walls, we had an issue with a neighbor that kept knocking on our walls simply because we were having a soft conversation at night

A good place to stay for value—location is very good, and located right across from the subway. They take Alipay or Cash, but not international credit cards, so keep that in mind before getting there!

Internal room was grim”
Booked the couples room expecting a window. There indeed was a window, albeit it was a window to a storage room - in other words, a completely internal room. The wallpaper was stained and peeling in areas and the people who frequented the storage room were loud. Use of ammenities was annoying - especially washing. There are only two washers and dryers and they are pay per use (10RMB per wash/ dry cycle). Kitchen was drab. On the plus side, the location is great, the price is unbeatable. Great wet market down the road with heaps of cheap fruit and snack options. Running track by the river is only 5 minutes away. It's honestly the best running track i've done in a while. Do it!

It's near a metro station. Just across the exit of the station you will find the hostel. They didn't say I have to give them a 100 yuan deposit which will they give me back at the end of my stay. They also didn't mention that I have to change the sheets and covers. If you don't do this, you have to pay 30 yuan. BTW of you need a towel it's 5 yuan. Of I hadn't had to change the sheets I would have seen how dirty the bed actually was. There were lots of hairs and a yellowish stain. The hostel didn't seem to be a very clean place.

I stayed in Shanghai Blue Mountain Luwan Youth Hostel for 3 nights and it was a very pleasant stay. However, the organisation can be improved and also the room could be a bit better prepared.

this hostel is located near the station. Only a few minutes walk from there but a little difficult to find this hostel. there are some convenience store and many restaurants. it takes about 1 hour from pudong airport. the room was quite nice. i want to stay this hostel again.

Actually this time the reception assistants, those two men are more friendly than the woman who I met last time. It’s convenient for subway and it’s very close to commercial part. What’s worth mention is that if you come to Shanghai for concert in Mercedes Benz, living here is pretty much nice for you.
