Where to stay in SongJiang and University Town
SongJiang and University Town hotels & accommodations

I just had to stay one night in Songjiang with my wife, so we decided to book a room at this hotel. It's a 5 star hotel, so you can expect nice rooms and good service. Just behind the hotel, there is a small shopping complex, which is quite convenient. Other than that, there is not much of attractions nearby. I guess the hotel is mainly used for business travellers.

i decided to go to sofitel sheshan after a mini-burnout at work...so not in the best emotional conditions. i just badly needed something "green" and calm, but not too far from town, since it was last minute decision. the 1 hour drive from shanghai downtown is definitely no-thrill (as most drives around big chinese towns anyway), with its dull streets, concrete building...

The hotel is located at the new district in Songjiang. There's a mall nearby. Several halal restaurant are also nearby. The train station is not too far away too. The room is nice and wifi connection was good. Could help if there were more staffs who could speak english. But they were great and helpful nevertheless. Would definitely stay here again when I come back to...

Not bad for Songjiang but for a brand hotel lacking in fine details. The food at the main restaurant was tasty but the service was abysmal. Lots of dust left in the corner of the hotel room which was not picked up on by us until we left a backpack in the corner and picked it up again to see that it was covered in accumulated dirt.

I chose this hotel because it was in the vicinity of the Qichung tennis arena where we would watch the Shanghai Rolex Masters. It was far away from the downtown and you need to take a 5-10 min taxi to get to the nearest metro. We were fine with it as what you got in return was a more tranquil environment. The room was neat and tidy with an extra large king bed. Everyth...

best hotel i have stayed at in Songjiang, only 30 minutes from airport, friendly staff and fast check in and early check in available. Large rooms that are well equiped, comfortable, good sized bed and bathroom that again is well provisioned. Helpful and friendly, good food and a reasonable bar for the evening. Have not used any additional facility. will reccomend to o...

The hotel is clean and pleasant, and the room was clean, but slightly austere. No problem if you are into local cuisine in small eateries, but forget the big pig-out swill pit within walking distance. Not much to do except knocking yourself out with CCTV and local TV "entertainment". Get some cold beer in as there's no fridge or mini-bar. Enjoy.

No problems. The road traffic was a bit noisy, but I had a room facing the street and the windows open since these were the best two days weather wise I have ever experienced in Shanghai. If you want a quieter room, request a room not facing the street. Staff speaks limited English so it would be helpful if you speak a bit of Chinese.
