Not Silom or Sukhumvit, but the location of this hotel has also something to offer. Plenty of restaurants along the street, thai and western food, reasonable prices. The hotel is located in walking distance to many embassies (Denmark, Austria, Germany, Australia) , excellent if you have to do some paperwork there and you can avoid the morning traffic. The location of the AIM Sathorn Hotel has been a wellknown backpacker area some 30+ years ago and fortunately it hasn't changed that much. I stayed a couple of times at this hotel. It is a good choice, if you don't need shopping centers or nightlife.

Great hotel in a great location”

AIM Sathorn is an economical, no frills hotel with friendly staff. It's clean, and if you don't need all the bells and whistles such as a buffet breakfast (AIM has no restaurant) and laundry service (there are independent laundry services up the road), I highly recommend it. I've been staying there on and off for some four or five years, since it first opened.

Good quality for reasonable price”

The Aim Sathorn hotel is nice, clean and the room was in perfect condition. It's located in a small street in the city center - not too noisy. The location on google maps was not correct - so I had to search in the middle of the night. In my case the correct location was about 150m southeast of the shown google location - next to the 24h convenient store.

Great room worth the money”

We were there for 3 nights, having lived in Bangkok before we knew which area we wanted to stay in and the Aim was just great for all our needs. Great location close to all the shopping malls and MRT to get around Bangkok, very clean and spacious with a comfortable bed and plenty of space for luggage. Great place to relax when still being on a budget after a busy day in Bangkok!

From the beginning I was happy with my stay. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. The staff friendly and available. The location is situated perfectly next to a 7-11, 24hr pharmacy, and many clean and tasty food stalls. being in the Sathorn area of Bangkok is central as it is.

service is nice”

This hotel is very new. It just opened in February 1, 2013!! Room is very practical - you can get what provides in a big hotel but a room is quite small and it looks like an apartment service. Price is quite cheap to be located on Sathorn road.

Very good base for good look around Bangkok”

We chose this hotel as it was near our friends house who teaches in a school near by.It is out of the way from the centre of Bangkok but Taxis are so cheap it just was not a problem. 90B ( about £2) for a trip into the centre in an airconned cab. Make sure you tell the driver " meter Cab".. they will put the meter on and you will not get ripped of. There are loads of places to eat very close by and we ate in them all and the food was top draw...ignore the state of some of the restaurants as they look a little shabby but trust me the food is quality and very very cheap...OM NIMS...I think that is what it is called is 50 feet away from the hotel. AS you come out turn left and it is the first eatery you see.There is a great bar called Kennys about 100ft on the left as you come out of the hotel. There is a restaurant on the right as you come out of the hotel turn left...it is called "The Corner"...this is a bit more westernised but it does a great breakfast and evening meals...The staff are wonderful there...There is also a man who cooks food from a little stall on the street....the food there is amazing for £1 you can get a very nice meal cooked in front of you as you watch...defo go there. There is a 7-11 super market 100 feet away on the right and it has all you need in there...it is basically a Spar shop. We have stayed in much better hotels than this but as a base it is perfect. Ask for a room on a high floor as you can not hear any noise from the busy road outside. We only stayed there for a few days before we flew to Koh Tao. There were 4 of us all over the age of 40 and we were more than happy with what we got.We stayed in room 504 and our friends in 506...enjoy Bangkok and get out and about is is very safe there.We did not eat there so i cant grade it

Excellent hotel”

This place is very worthy to stay! I recommended for everyone. I stayed for one night. Location is nearby the Sathorn which is a popular zone in Bangkok. Room is spacious, clean, modern and full of stuff you need.

Brand new hotel”

The hotel is 10 min walk from metro in a soi , that if its your first time in Bangkok I dont recommend staying ... not because its a bad area, but its quite secluded neighborhood which could be good if you like a more "local" atmosphere ... The girls at the front desk are very nice and acomodating ... Hotel is brand new and the price was very good... Now it doesnt have many hotel amenities like restaurant. If this hotel would have a pool I would likely stayed there longer ... Beds are a bit hard ,,, but again everything is new and clean ... good tv, internet is fast and good connection ... I would stay there again ....

Value for money and good location”

Enjoyed my stay here. Great location for the area I wanted to stay in. Flow's cafe which I enjoyed the food there are the food suppliers to the hotel. Check in was easy and had one English speaking staff member which I knew from the Flow's. Looks old, but relatively new due to the local trade. House keeping staff are brilliant and always respectful and worked around me to clean room. English wasn't good but all friendly. I originally booked a Deluxe and they placed me into a superior. I called and they were happy to resolve. Would be ideal to have a pool but for the price who will complain.

Very God”

This is the 2nd time i have stayed at this hotel and both times it was a very good experience. reasonably priced with good amenities and hotel condition. 7/11 just outside along with a few good and cheap restaurants as well. About 10 minutes walk to the nearest MRT.

Perfect location in Patong. ”

I love this hotel, its clise to Bangla street, shopping centre, 5 minutes walk to the beach. It is a close proximity to everything in patong. The hotel looks like its a newly built, has everthing you need in a 5 star hotel but with a 3 star price.

If i come to sathorn area in bangkok i will stay at aim. If they restaurant it will much better. They should improve their internet services.

Great staff, clean comfortable room & bath”

The staff was super, including the cleaning staff. Clean room & bath with the best shower I've had in Bangkok. Great bed. Always someone at reception who speaks English.

Comfortable and convenience hotel”

Nice staying here for 4 nights business trip. The restaurant right across the hotel is so great and very cheap comparing for what you get .. By French chef You wont believe it!! 150 for great breakfast. Room is clean with big balcony big bed and very good shower.

Clean brand new small hotel in quiet location”

I was received in a nice way. Since the hotel is quite new (Opened on February 1st 2013) they still are not fully installed with their services. Safety box and laundry services are missing, but when I asked for a safet box they installed one the next day. They also advised me about a laubndry service close to the hotel. They were flexible in connection with my check out. This is an hotel that I will come back to if the future price will be like now.

Great Place”

The Staff are Friendly and helpful, the location is great with a lot of western and Thai Style restaurants close by. The price is great for the quality of rooms. Definitely will stay here again

Quality room at budget price”

Excellent upscale, modern boutique hotel”

It was nice to stay in a cheaper, clean, modern hotel. I liked the lat screen t.v. And decor. The only thing is that when the room was made up for the next day - the fancy cover was taken away so it was dressed down. I think if you're paying fr a room - it sound look the same as it did the ay you walked in. That disappointed me.
