"Marbella resort is very unique for Sharjah. This area is not a buzzing tourist spot and there is NO ALCOHOL. This area is a medical business area BUT there are many local restaurants and American chain restaurants close by.. The Marbella resort reflects an old Spanish style with spacious villa type accommodation at very reasonable prices. Very nice pool area and lovely gardens. It is set on a lagoon. There is a water side corniche if you like to walk. The central Souk is 5 min walk. Well worth a visit if you can haggle the prices. . Many large ultra modern shopping malls are a taxi ride away. Very cheap taxis. Try Mega Mall and City Centre or the very new Sahara Centre. The resort staff are very courteous and will advise you well. There is a beach shuttle to Al Khan Carlton hotel. Yet again a little dated but beautiful beach."

"I was on a business trip and have selected the hotel for it's location with it's own private beach. The hotel staff is really very friendly, and willing to help. Also, the room was very quiet ( no elevators so no rooms above when you stay at the first floor ) The hotel has an affordable buffet every evening, but as the location is in Sharjah, no alcohol at all. Take extra time if you have to go to Dubai, as traffic is heavy. Taxi's are easy to find. One peculiar thing about the hotel: I found the temperature of the warm water in the room too cold: they could not repair that. Also, when checking out, they told me the invoice for the hotel stay will come via e-mail, but I have not yet received it, will check again. They have a small gym, and also a sauna, but of ocurse the sauna has seperate times for the women and men. Untill 2 pm for the women, after that, for men. A very relaxing place, I will try to come again next time!"

"This is no resort. It's a two-star hotel that has been reconstructed by putting a facade on it that resembles a fort. It's decent for a two-star hotel. However, the bathrooms did not appear to be attended to--one had used toilet paper in its toilet. Another had hair in the shower, rust, and stains on its walls. Note, also, that breakfast is not an option for agoda customers. You can pay the hotel directly--at a whopping $35 uae dirhams per person. So, bring food with you, or be prepared to walk/drive to a store, or be prepared to be hungry in the morning. "

"Everything was perfect, couldn't have asked for a better experience. Staff were welcoming and helpful in every way. We were provided everything we could possibly need and then some. Highly recommended, easily the best hotel experience we've ever had. Very relaxing and close to everything you would want to see in Sharjah. "

"Bathroom is old type need improvement, elevator is too small and too slow, there was no life guard on the beach, the rest are very good, food on dinner was very delicious, staff are friendly and welcoming, they gave me late checkout till 02:00pm, we enjoyed the stay there, thank you Sharjah Carlton :)"

"I new this hotel was old but I did not expect to get a dirty sheets on both beds after we checked in. I notified the receptionist and requested to change those sheets immediately. Three guys came within 30 minutes to change the bedding. We did not receive any apology from the hotel management for the inconvenience. Internet was unavailable in the hotel at all. Breakfast has a variety of food but nothing was tasty including coffee. We went to breakfast twice then we stop going to eat at the hotel. It's waste of money. Our room was facing the beach and we did not use air conditioner, we got fresh air instead. Hotel provided free bus shuttle to Dubai and Sharjah, which is great. If you going to spent most of the day outside of the hotel, this hotel is a good choice for you. We have no regret to stay there for 6 nights."
