“Exceptional”
We had a comfortable stay at Turtle Rooms. The place is clean, with fresh towels and a well-maintained overall environment. Spacious room, which is always a plus. The location is about 20km+ from the airport, making it a convenient option if your flight is at odd hours. However, it is quite far from Chalong Pier and popular areas like Patong and Kamala Beach. The nearest 7/11 is about 700 meters away, and within 100m to 1km, you’ll find a bakehouse, a hotel, and 2-3 restaurants. They have a nice common area with a microwave, refrigerator, waffle maker, utensils, and other essentials, which is really convenient. There’s also a self-service laundry shop right next to the stay. If you’re planning an island tour, keep in mind that most operators do not offer free pickup in this area (Thalang), so you’ll need to pay extra for transportation. However, there’s a tour agency right next to the entrance where you can easily book your tours. A special mention to Teechy, the adorable and very sweet cat who made our stay even better! The host was very responsive, provided clear check-in instructions (which was helpful since we arrived late), and even allowed us to check out until 12:30 PM. Overall, a great stay!
