“A great place to travel with mom.”
The pool view is so-so, but I’m completely satisfied with the facilities. I've heard that meals are around 60,000 won, which isn’t bad. However, is it a Chinese holiday? The number of options for breakfast was significantly reduced, haha. Still, I stayed for two days and ate everything, so it was fine. I had such good breakfasts that I didn't eat anything outside in China. However, I was a bit disappointed that the bread, which I like to be filled with butter, was dry? Overall, it was quite light, but there were various types of butter available, and both the jam on the table and the buffet jam were great. The cooking was top-notch. I was satisfied with the accommodation since the view of the Oriental Pearl Tower was a comfort for those like my mom and me who find walking a bit tiring. Also, when I said I needed ice because I was sick, they understood right away and even brought extra plastic bags—very thoughtful. The service was excellent, and everyone was proactive and kind, from the restaurant staff to the front desk and bellboys. They were all friendly. However, the total for two days of breakfast including card fees came out to about 1,330,000 won; it was a room with a river view and two beds, but... yeah, I thought I shouldn't use Naver Money. Also, the gym and pool instructors were super kind; thank you! Everyone speaks English well, and this hotel made me realize that making money and living well is the best, haha. I saw a lot of Koreans, couples with babies! I want to live that kind of life too. Oh, and the bar was nice, and I heard there was a classic elevator available, but I couldn’t open the door… so it might not be usable, just keep that in mind. Make sure to explore every nook and cranny. There’s a place close to cross to the Bund, and it's near the bus stop. But I guess those staying here won't be taking transportation, so I didn't consider the subway at all, hence I didn’t know the info. Anyway, to summarize, the people at the hotel are super kind. Oh, and there’s a convenience store 8 minutes away; they guide you to Family Mart, but personally, I recommend the Chinese brand convenience store located towards the Bund parking lot, even though crossing the street is a downside. At the back of the hotel, there’s a church? That street is nice, so go for a walk. My mom loved it. Oh, and be careful not to get scammed by taxis when crossing over to the Oriental Pearl Tower. Don’t ask the hotel to call a taxi for you... Didi is generally cheaper, almost like a premium service when taking a regular taxi to the airport. And try not to charge alcohol from the bar to your room… the service fee can add up a lot, ugh…? But still, I really like it here, and I want to come back again.
