not having ever stayed in a 5 star hotel we have nothing like it to compare to. however, we were very pleased at the service, cleanliness, and presentation of this hotel. very spacious deluxe room, and the normal room service (cleaning, re-stocking) was terrific too. there is an indoor pool that was a bit on the cool side, but it didn't detract from our daughter hav...

Walking distance to many major tourist attractions. I walked over to Tiananmen Square and Forbidden City and along the way passed by a couple of museums including the China Railway Museum. Other attractions nearby that I can remember off the top of my head include the Temple of Heaven and Wangfujing Snack Street. The subway is very nearby as well while Sanlitun which ...

We stayed at the Hotel for 7 nights. The Hotel is conveniently located within the Wangfujing shopping area and also near to attractions like the Forbidden City (we walked there from the Hotel) and Tiananmen. The Wangfujing subway station is 10-15 minutes’ walk away but it is not a difficult walk as there are shopping malls along the way. Airport shuttle bus (25RMB) sto...

Stayed in this hotel for 4 days, after travelling from Shanghai on the bullit train(4.5hrs express G train)Travelled by taxi about 30 mins from South Beijing railroad station. The room size for a standard queen bed is good, although if you can ask for a room with a view of the forbidden city do so, as because of the hotel roof shape, many rooms have only ceiling windows wh...

This is a comfortable, clean and mordern hotel with its location extremely ideal for both the cultural tourist and the deep pockets tourist. The main tourist attractions like the Tienanmen and the forbidden City just a short ride away (walking distance in fact, for the less out of shape) Shopping and the food street at Wangfujing is a sight on its own, blending the 100...

Stayed with Hilton Wangfujing for 2 nights and found that this hotel is one of the best I have stayed in... The price is considered at the higher end, but there is no regret for it... Location is great, just beside Wangfujing Walking Street and also shopping malls around it. Definitely not an issue to shop and dine if you stay in this hotel. Within walking distance (ap...

The Park Plaza is an amazing hotel. It was reasonably expensive even for Chinese standards, but the expereicne was second to none. The room was origially a standard room but I was offered a room upgrade to a suite for a small extra charge. The suite room was AMAZING. huge bathroom and living room and bedroom. Close to all the major attractions including Wangfujing Stre...

We stayed here for a week in the summer. The deluxe room was very big, with desk and comfortable seating area. For China, the room had really fast internet. Breakfast (included in the price) was fine and had plenty of choice. We also tried dinner in the Chinese restaurant – very good. The staff were excellent. Very friendly and helpful and arranged our Great Wall trip ...

From the moment we walked in the door we knew this was the perfect choice. We were greeted by the manager Aref Sayegh. We received a nice surprise and were upgraded to a suite - #6513! We stayed 4 nights at this hotel. It is located within 5-8 mins walking distance to Wangfujing shopping street, about 15 mins walk to Wangfujing Subway station, 30 mins walk to the Forbidden City. It is convenient to find places to eat as well as convenient store for your needs. The Reception were fabulous and friendly with good command of English (as my wife didn't re...

30 minutes from Beijing South Railway station. Around 30RMB. Infront have muslim food. 3 minutes walking to Wangfujing shopping street. 10 minutes walking like 1km to Tiananmen Square and Forbidden City. 7minutes to subway station Wangfujing. Good enough. Have a hotel own travel tour.

I found my stay at the Wangfujing Crowne Plaza to be an experience worth repeating. The staff were extremely helpful and courteous, and very quick with a warm smile! The staff in the restaurant/atrium where the breakfast buffet was served where especially attentive and quick to remember the customers from previous visits. Having stayed on the Club Level, the compliment...

We visited Beijing for a wedding and spent 10 nights at the hotel. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. Nothing fancy but good quality. The ambiance of the hotel and the location in the midst of a hutong are very nice: walking distance to Forbidden City and other must-see-spots. All staff are very friendly and especially the receptionists are wonderful: interested a...

Hotel Kapok was conveniently located to major attractions such as the Forbidden City, Tiananmen square and the Wangfujing shopping street. However, we made the mistake of going to Beijing in Winter (As a Sydneysider I've never experienced such cold weather even when I went to the snows at Perisher). As such, it was a struggle to walk even 2 blocks after dark. For anyth...

My friends and I had such a great time here! First off, the staff is super friendly and helpful. They were able to give us directions to everywhere we wanted to walk to (it's super close to the Forbidden City and Tiananmen Square), called us taxis, told us the specific subway route and stops to take to get to the train station, and even reminded us to take our passport...

Stayed here for 8 nights. Clean, nice and v safe hotel. Highly recommended for comfort. However, downside is a little far from WangFuJing, about 15mins walk. Nearest subway is DengKouShi 灯口市 station, at least a 10mins quick walk. Next nearest subway station is WangFuJing station, about 20mins walk. There is a little Family Mart right across the road. Next nearest eatin...

We stayed here for 4 nights, the room was nice. Walking distance to the WangFuJing Street, easy to find good foods at all time, which is very convenient. we even walked from hotel to the forbidden city and Tiananmen square, it is not very far and we can enjoy the scenery along the way. Highly recommended hotel in Beijing.

Stayed all over China this place is at the top of its price range. Not for the hotel or facilities. The rooms are not huge nor impressive. But clean and spacious enough to be comfortab...

you know, majority of chinese people don't know how to speak english. the staff and crew of Waldorf Astoria is very helpful to us specially in booking taxi/car and restaurant reservation. also their rooms are very nice, high tech toilet bowl :D And also very near to the Shopping malls and Wangfujing Street Food

We will definitely go back to this hotel when we visit Beijing. The hotel is in the heart of Beijing. Forbidden City, Tiananmen Square, Beihai Park, Jingshang Park, Wangfujing Street and some other night spots are near to the hotel. The staff were very accommodating and friendly.

This serviced apartment is located very close to Dongsi MRT (5 mins walk), there is a big department store across the street (note that it closes at 9:30pm), nice bakery and very clean local cafe at the corner of 2 big streets next to the MRT. There some minor issues like we had only 2 chairs in a quadruple room, but room itself is spacious, there is the washing machin...

This hotel is lovely! The rooms are nicely appointed and spacious. The health facility was great, with nice size workout room, pool, steam and jacuzzi rooms. The location is within walking distance of the Forbidden City and excellent shopping . Above all though, the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, especially Jason Zhang in concierge and Ciara in dining!

This hotel is easy to find (we travelled by airport express and subway - cheap, quick and interesting) and very close to Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City. The Grand Mercure has an impressive entrance and is welcoming and clean, with a really excellent bedroom (we were upgraded to Executive Suite on the 10th floor). The buffet dining has a wide range of Chinese a...

I went to Beijing to visit my son (23), who is studying there. I booked a twin room so that he could also stay if he wanted, which worked out perfectly. The owners are really friendly and helpful! 5 stars for that! They have provided us with many travel advices/recommendations!! The accommodation is courtyard size and we do enjoy sitting at the courtyard for a drink or breakfast ...

- 2 Malaysian girls backpacking - Location is good. about a 5 min walk from the Dongsi subway station, which is pretty central and a few stops away from forbidden city. - stayed in the 8 bed mixed dorm for 4 nights - to be honest, I was a bit shocked that the dorm was so cramped and small, but other than that the room was clean. - the beds are SO fluffy and nice to s...

It's one of the best hostels I have ever lived in. Though it is a bit far away from the metro station, but it is between the Forbidden City and the Wangfujing Street therefore it is very convenient. The streets around are neat and well-organised. The restaurant insides is good where you can taste different dishes. Good experience :)

I LOVE the sitting/reception area in this small hotel. They decorated it with fresh flowers and they smell amazing. This hotel can be hard to find, because it’s hidden in a residential alley. But it’s worth the effort. The location is great too, about three bus stops from The Forbidden City and very close to subway station.

The hotel is near Dongdan station which is key to navigate quickly to the city and avoid the terrible traffic jam in Beijing. The staff is friendly and helpful but does not speak English; you'll be text/translating to each other for basic information but it is better than nothing considering that the English adoption in English is really low. The hotel is also 10min fr...

Had a great stay at this new hostel, which is more like a hotel even tho they got dorm rooms (4 beds, in a room with their private bathroom). I stayed for over a month while sightseeing and studying mandarin. The personel where great. Really friendly and most of them spoke really good english. The restaurant was good, although I would have liked more Chinese dishes. L...

Clean and tidy 3-star hotel, less than 400 meters to Dongsi station (lines 5 and 6). The rooms are small but clean and tidy. Daily cleaning and daily change of bedsheets (if requested). in general i needed a room for a night. Hotel is located next to a Beijing Hospital, so most of the clients are from other cities. In the bathroom they have low quality shower gel and shampoo, and you can purchase tooth brush, ...

My stay was 4 nights the hotel location is near to Forbidden city and Wangfujing Street. You feel you are living in the heart of Beijing. The floor of the hotel didn clean up.... i go there in 3 pax and they only provide me 2 set of towel, cup and others. i asked for it and they said not enough things to supply. The free coffee in the lobby is very nice to drink. Location of the hotel is strategic.

The staff at Xiao Yuan especially Yang and Ting Ting were very kind and accommodating , making my stay there very pleasant . Also the location was great so close to many main places of interest. Great hostel in an ideal location! The hostel is very close to a number of restaurants including an incredible dumpling place and Tiananmen Square and the forbidden city!
