Love this cute hotel”

We Briza is very clean with great service. The breakfast was wonderful and we really enjoyed our stay. Only downfall is it is about a 15-20 min walk to old town and not the most convenient for nightlife etc. the surrounding neighborhood felt safe and the walk wasn't too bad though.

Opened just a bit too soon”

Well, the hotel was opened 3 days before our arrival, so things havent fallen into place yet. We arrived around 10am to the hotel, they let us check in but made to wait nearly an hour without saying a word. ( it turned out they were cleaning the room, but only told this after we got to the room. Pool is not in the best place, as it is between the elevator and the reception.( so everybody passes it). We could not use the gym, but were told, they have to ask the manager if it is possible to use it..Hairdryers are available upon request, but when we requested it after returning late from Chiang Rai, were told that the room were the hairdryer is, is locked, and only available next day. ( it was our last night, so was not an option to use it the next Morning.( in the same time, let me print my boarding pass for next day). The hotel probably mainly caters for Chinese tourists, so some signs are in chinese, but not in english ( e.g by the pool). The breakfast is also mainly caters for asian taste ( nooes and rice, with melone, and some bread and butter. First morning we were actually presented ( without asking for it) fried eggs just before we nearly finished our meal. To top it off, we ordered a taxi to take us to the airport ( via the reception). I asked the previous morning about the set price for airport runs, but magically the price went up 50% the next morning when we came down. After some argument, we got a bit of a discount, but having had no time to arrange an other taxi, we left the hotel fuming and felt ripped off a bit. All in all the rooms were spacious, clean, with comfortable beds, but we felt that the hotel was not fully ready for opening.( some handyman were still working a bit at various locations around the hotel)

It was further from old city Chiang Mai than I would like to be. That was the only con.

Contrary to some other reviews we found the hotel to be quiet and slept well. The breakfast was great.

perfect for one night”

We have two kids, age 6 and 8. This hotel is simple but met our needs. The breakfast was good, the pool was small but had a waterfall that the kids enjoyed and it was cheap.

Clean and comfy hotel”

Great hotel, friendly staffs. The only thing is the breakfast is not so good. Would suggest not to have breakfast in the hotel if possible :)

Not a bad hotel”

The room size is very big, and the place is quiet. I enjoy the stay in the hotel. However, the location might not be that convenience if you don't drive a car. However, also depends on where you want to go also. I still recommend this hotel.

Just what we needed”

Clean, easy, affordable, no frills, but comfortable. Would recommend for solo, group, family, anyone looking for a deal.

Exceptional”

The hotel was nice and clean. Close to the fruit market. Only downside was their bed; a little on the old side, matress box was rather loud.

mixed feelings”

hotel has nice, just renovated rooms which are comfortable and stylish. the only bad thing about the hotel was the "free breakfast". the restaurant caters to Chinese package tours and ignores individual customers. breakfast was supposed to end at 10:30, but at 10 they served only scraps of inedible food and after a big argument they offered to serve American style breakfast which was inedible as well. we have stayed two nights and the next day the experience was exactly the same, very low quality of food. Also the water in the swimming pool was freezing. However the young man that makes coffee poolside is very affable.

Staff are really nice but untrained”

This is a Chinese owned hotel. It was full of Chinese people and they were very loud at all times of the day & night. They were all from tour groups so came en masse. Tour groups of any kind can be loud, obnoxious and rude but I found the five or six tour groups that came and went in the five days I was there obnoxious, rude, pushy and very loud. It seems the hotel says nothing to them about disturbing the other guests because this is their main business. The staff ate very good but too many of them are untrained. Therefore mistakes get made. I asked for a price on drycleaning a suit. The quote was 250TBT. When the suit arrived back they tried to charge me 320TBT. This is unforgivable for a hotel that is supposed to be 3***. In fact I would rate it 1.5-2 * simply due to the staffing issues. If you are not a Chinese tour group I would not recommend this hotel.

Everything in this hotel is great. The people, enviroment and the food are awesome. Definitely gonna come back here!!

Nice hotel with big rooms”

The hotel is nice and looks new, they offer buffet breakfast! The location is not so center but is easy to get a taxi and go to the center.

Budget hotel with reasonable price. If you are here for a quick stop, it should be fine. Do not expect much, you really get what you pay for.

Alright for value of money”

As expected from its price. Nothing exceptional. Probably one of the better of cheap hotels. Location is okay. Will need to take a car to most places. Not much to say about this place.
