"i stayed in this hotel for 5 nights and overall i'm quiet pleased with the stay. the hotel room is big with simple furnishing and although it looked a bit old but it's enough to keep us comfortable and warm throughout the cold weather when we were there. best thing is the location. it's 10 min walk to the nearest subway. yu garden is behind and in front is the xintiandi all within walking distance. it's also nearby huaihai rd which has a lot of shopping malls."

"this hotel was used by gov official to host state parties, and to entertain oversea official. so as u can expect, the hotel has a very queit taste of grand-ness and historical feel all around. the service has room for improvement, especially at the front office department. but that is to be expected in most china hotel (especailly those local hotel, i mean not those international chain hotel). the room is just magneficient. comfort level is extremely good for local hotel. it has the softest bed in all local hotel i ever sample in china (mostly they prefer wood hard mattress). even has the different firmness pillows to choose from, quite very thoughtful. the bathroom is another nice surprise. it even has a separated shower and bath area. (again, not common in local hotel) the room and bathroom are both very spacious, plenty of storage area in the room. in shanghai, space is something i think we should be grateful for. the location is just fabulous, stone throw away from a MRT station, and the famous HuaiHai Rd shopping district. very very convenient. dont have to wonder far for food also. all in all this is a great hotel, that i wouldnt mind staying there again in the future."

"Stayed at the Langham Xintiandi from March 6~10 for four nights. I was first assigned the 22nd floor, but at the time of my stay there was construction work going on the upper club lounge floor. I complained about the noise, and the hotel staff was gracious enough to upgrade my room to a corner room on the 17th floor where I wasn't bothered by the noise. The location of the hotel was convenient, with its close proximity to Xintiandi and other nearby shopping malls. Pudong and the Bund are short cab rides from the hotel. The room was in excellent condition and well maintained. The heated bathroom floors were great for the chilly March weather in Shanghai. The fitness facilities are well maintained (and underused) and well equipped with aerobic exercise machines. However, you won't find the traditional weight training stations, which might not satisfy many people. Service was efficient and courteous, room service and laundry were quick. This hotel appears to be a great value compared to other brand name hotels, and definitely worth trying."

"The room was clean and pretty during my 9 nights stay. I was in the city for work, everyday the room was cleaned, fresh towels and emptied bins. The lobby and lounging area was great as well. Though in the end, I didn't have time to sit in cafe nor enjoy the breakfast. If you come back late at night, and feeling a little hungry, there's a dumpling store next to the hotel with really good peanut sauce noodles for only 9RMB. Really yummy! The location is near the subway and not too far from Xintiandi. If you had a heavy dinner, walking back to the hotel will be a great idea too. It's really near to a shopping mall as well, so it's pretty easy to find whatever you need!"
